Road Traffic Works – Refurbishment of Signal controlled Junction – David Place / Val Plaisant
Growth, Housing and Environment will be refurbishing the junctions signal equipment on the week commencing 4th November. This is part of the planned maintenance work on the network. The existing equipment has been in situ for over 15 years, and needs to be replaced to ensure that the junction remains in operation without fault for years to come.
This will involve the complete shutdown of the junction for 4 to 5 days as the ageing traffic signal heads and controller are removed and replaced with new equipment. During that short period there will be no crossing facilities available to any users in the vicinity who may need it. During the hours of 8.00am – 5.30pm there will be installation engineers on site to assist with any clients crossing that junction. Outside of those times the junction will be unmanned.
It is anticipated that the junction will be out of service from 9.15am Monday 4th November until 2pm Friday 8th November if not sooner.
